Happy Birthday to Montanna! Yesterday was her 2nd birthday and she could not have been more excited about the whole day. I don't think I could count the number of times we sang Happy Birthday to her or how many times she sang it to herself. She loved being the center of attention for the day and it made her so happy to have everything go her way.

Montanna has grown so much in the past year. It is amazing to think of the things that she says and can do. Her current list of accomplishments are:

-Counts to 20!
-Sings all the words to: Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star, The ABC Song, Come Little Child, and several others. She loves to sing!
-She can spell her name (aloud)
-She sleeps in her own bed and has for several months. She goes right to sleep for both naps and bedtime. There have only been a few times we have had a hard time with that. She loves her sleep.
-She is such a good big sister. She gets so excited to be around Eden. It will be so much fun in a few months when Eden becomes a bit more mobile.
-She talks in full sentences saying things like: "Are you coming with us?" and "Where's Edee Bugee at?" and "Why is she crying?"
-She loves books and coloring
-She LOVES to go outside and play

We love you so much Montanna and can't believe that you are already 2 years old. We can't imagine our life without you. You bring so much happiness and sunshine into our world. We love your excitement for life and the love you show everyone. We love that you get so excited to go to church and go to Nursery. It is amazing how quickly you are able to pick up on your Primary Songs and I love hearing you walk around the house singing them. You are such a good big sister to Eden and love and care about her so much. You two will be such good friends and rely on each other so much in the future. You continue to amaze us everyday.

We are so excited to watch you continue to grow and learn this coming year. Happy, Happy Birthday Sweetie Girl!

Gran sure takes some good pictures! We had so much fun just playing outside and enjoying the beautiful weather. I love being able to be outside and enjoy the weather during the summer. What a change from last year!

Memorial Day

On Monday we went for a beautiful walk at The Garden of the Gods. It was such a pretty day and there was just enough of a breeze to make the weather perfect. Eden loved being outside and walking around and Montanna was running around looking at the birds flowers and rocks. We came home and grilled some hamburgers and watched a movie. What a fun day!

My Little Monkey

I found this super cute outfit a couple weeks ago at a garage sale Britney told me about for $2. It is in perfect condition and just adorable on Montanna. She is turning into quite the Monkey lately so the outfit suits her perfectly. Birthday #2 is coming up in just a few weeks. She has requested a "Meow Cake" We'll see how it turns out!

She is growing up so fast. Some of the things she has learned how to do recently is count to 20! Sometimes she skips 15 and 17 but most of the time she is able to do pretty well. She also knows how to sing the spelling of her name. M-o-n-t-a-n-n-a That's how you spell Montanna. So cute to hear her sing. I need to get it on tape. She is starting to talk in complete sentences. I here her often say, "What you doing, Momma?" " Mommy, What happened" "I want to see the bunny" "Where did Grandpa go?" "I want to talk on the phone"
Montanna is also learning how to assert her free will and is quite adamant and stubborn when things are not going her way. She has become quite familiar with a certain room in the house and does not want me to get Daddy when she won't listen to Mommy. Often that threat will get her to do what I want her to do.
We love her and are having so much fun with her. She loves being outside more than anything right now and scraped up both knees this morning while we were chasing a ball. It is tough to be almost 2.
