Family Pictures

Thanks to Shelby Whiting Photography for some fun family pictures! Since we were all together for Thanksgiving my mom thought it would be the perfect time to get some pictures taken. I am so glad we did. I love the way these turned out!

Some Thanksgiving Pictures

We had a great Thanksgiving! My entire family was here and we did nothing but have fun, take pictures, and eat lots of yummy food. These are only the pictures I got off of my camera so more pictures will be coming soon, but we had a great time together. We don't all get together very often so it was kind of special. The same thing is happening with Adam's family for Christmas this year. All of his brothers and sister and their families will be together. I love when this happens.

Lauren, Brynlee and Emily

Mom, playing with Ada outside. We had great weather this weekend. It was a little bit cold, but the kids were still able to play outside and have fun.

Lydia riding a bike. She was in heaven. You can tell she is so excited by the smile on her face.

Eli knows how to say cheese for the camera!

Lydia found a ladybug.

MMMmmm. We had lots and lots of pies. They were delicious!

Tangled

Montanna decided that she wanted to straighten her hair today for church. Both Montanna and Eden think they have hair like "Tangled" when it is long and straight and they kept flipping it over their shoulders saying to each other, "You look just like Tangled!" Of course, they meant Rapunzel but they are one and the same to them. Here are a few pictures of their hair.

Montanna all ready for church.

This is a picture of Montanna and Eden the day after Adam got home from his trip last week. While he was in Louisiana we tried a few different hair styles and the girls wanted to do their hair "cool" for Adam that morning. Montanna was in two braids and Eden had a fun hair-do with a couple little flipped pony-tails on top of her head. You can't see Eden's hair, but here is a picture of Montanna. Her hair is getting longer and a little bit thicker so it is easier to braid her hair. Girls are so much fun, especially when they are girly-girls and we get to play hair and make-up together. They LOVE lipstick or chap stick of any kind that that is their favorite make-up. We put it on almost daily.

Halloween

Happy Halloween from the Witch and her Black Cat!

Halloween cookies

I almost forgot cookie making. This is a Halloween tradition in Adam's family to make pumpkin sugar cookies and frost them and add candy corn. To him, Halloween is not Halloween without some sugar cookies. This was a super fun activity to do with the girls. They had so much fun and ate way too much sugar, I know. Please ignore the messy house as it was a war zone for a few hours on this particular afternoon. It was actually pretty easy to clean up once we got the kids interested in another activity.

As you can see, they had a great time!

Cousins

Cousin pictures. There were 6 little girls running around Idaho Falls last weekend. The oldest 4 girls were running around playing together most of the time. They were dressing up, dancing, playing pretend hotel and making beds in empty closets. They just plain had fun and would rather just be playing together than have us right there with them. They would come up every once in a while for a drink or a snack and then they went right back to playing. This is probably the most fun they have had playing together and the are going to have just as much fun during Thanksgiving when we will add Eli and Lydia to the mix.

Brynlee and Aubrey

Ada is not so little anymore. It was so much fun to see her walking (running) around from place to place. Ada and Emily were the ones we had to watch closely as they were all over the house since both of hem are much more mobile than last time we got together.

Snack break

Not sure what they were doing right here, but it looks like some kind of game. Aubrey looks like she is singing?

Bedtime stories on the last night together. We put all the kids to bed at our house and then we went downstairs and watched movies and played cards.

Six kids in the tub and the little ones said.... This was interesting.

Six little girls all in a row. Thanks for a fun weekend cousins!

Snow. It came. It went. I'm sure it will be back again.

It snowed! This was such exciting news for Montanna and Eden. You should have heard the squeals and shouts as they looked out the window. It really was fun to hear and watch.Montanna had preschool the morning it snowed and after we dropped her off Eden had to go make footprints in the snow.

Eden making her footprints in the fresh snow.

(I love this picture of Brynlee. She is glaring at someone. I'm not the one taking her picture. It would be fun to remember what was going on here or if it was just a random glare. Funny!)

We were so lucky to have cousins visit us this last weekend. Lesley, Aubrey and Ada came on Thursday, the day it snowed, and stayed until Sunday. It was so fun to spend time with and visit with them since we don't see them very often. She pointed out that we only live 2.5 hours away. They will be coming up again in just a few weeks when everyone will be here for Thanksgiving. It will be so much fun to have my entire family together for a few days. We can't wait!

Friday afternoon there was still enough snow to go outside and make a snowman. The snow was the perfect snowman snow and Eden was the queen of making snowballs. She got the hang of it right away and surprised us with how big she was able to roll the ball. Once the snowball got so big she couldn't roll it anymore and so Montanna, Brynlee and Aubrey rushed over to help her get it in position for the bottom of another snowman.

Here she is rolling away.

It's getting bigger!

Here is the shot at hour first attempt at a snowman. They got bigger and better as the girls got more into it. Our last snowman had snowball boots and looked like it was sitting down. It was such a fun afternoon activity and it was warm enough outside that it wasn't a big deal to stay out there for a while.

Aubrey and Brynlee in the snow. Aubrey loved eating the snow and she knew what color snow she was allowed to eat. Not that there would be anything other than white snow in Lauren's backyard. At least we hope!
