Cleaning Day with my little helpers

Monday was actually cleaning day. We did laundry and vacuumed and did all the normal stuff, but I didn't get to the kitchen floors. I attempted to mop several times on Monday and actually spot cleaned it, but never actually mopped. So as I was mopping this morning, the girls each got a cloth and wiped and cleaned their booster seats for me. They thought this was so much fun.

After going to the doctor for well check-ups yesterday and finding out that both girls have hand, foot and mouth disease, we had a pretty good morning. Both had fevers when they woke up, but I gave them a round of medicine first thing and they were fine and happy this morning as you can see from the picture. Then, Eden woke up from her nap with a fever of 103.5 degrees! I don't know if either of them has had a fever that high before! This kind of scared me a little bit since her eyes were droopy and she just wanted to be cuddled. I let her and Montanna take a cool bath and they had fun playing for a while and gave them both another dose of medicine. Hopefully Eden will feel better in a few days. Montanna hasn't been acting sick at all and already has the blistery sores on her hands and feet. Eden is still going through the fevers and has yet to get the rash except in ther throat. No wonder she doesn't want to eat! Montanna doesn't seem to be bothered by the rash and I hope it is the same for Eden.

At the doctor yesterday, Montanna got 2 shots and was very brave! Now she is all done until she is 4!
She weighed: 29 lbs - 25% She is moving up again!
She was 37 inches tall - 50%

Eden has to go back in 2 weeks so she can get her shots since she was too sick yesterday.
Right now she weighs: 20 lbs. 2 oz. - 5%
She was in the 7% last time and so they are hoping she puts on a few oz. before her next appointment. I don't know if that will happen though since she hardly ate anything today.
She was 31 inches tall - 45%

I ended up really liking their new doctor which was a real blessing since I was worried I wouldn't feel comfortable with the office and the doctor, but I really liked both of them. I am so glad for new friends here in Dillon for recommendations!

Baking Bread

Here are my little helpers!

This picture is for Papa. They loved the bread dough and ate it like it was cookie dough! Crazy!

They each got their own little piece of dough rolled it out and played with it while I was getting the bread in the pans. They love to be in the kitchen with me and I love that!

Package from Gran

Look what came in the mail today. These girls could not be more excited! They love Clifford the Big Red Dog. They have several books and a new one pictured here and a movie that has 6 short Clifford shows. Right as the package came, I was getting ready to clean up and sweep and mop the kitchen so I made a tent for the girls out of kitchen chairs and a blanket and let them watch Clifford with their new stuffed animals. They love them Gran!

Silly girl

What's for lunch?

Eden is BY FAR the pickiest eater in our family. She is our grain, dairy and fruit girl. She does not like many meats and will not eat vegetables. We have tried lots of different veggies and meats and prepared them all different ways, but she seems to know. Even when she is really hungry, she will not take a bite of something she doesn't like.
The other day I made meatloaf, mashed potatoes, and cooked carrots for dinner and she wouldn't taste any part of it. She doesn't even like mashed potatoes! We kept it in front of her while the rest of us ate and she just sat there and talked to us and we tried to feed her bites every once in a while. I knew she was hungry because she didn't eat a very big lunch and hadn't been snacking. Finally, I got up and got her a banana.

She looked at me and took a huge bite and said, "Thank you", "Thank you", "Thank you" over and over between bites. What am I going to do with her?

Obviously Ramen Noodles were a big hit!

Canning

First canning of the season. Pickled Beets on Friday and Cherries today. Montanna is loving all of the purple. Both Eden and Montanna looked like they had been in a fight after eating so many cherries today. I didn't get any pictures as I was trying to keep the mess contained. I hope I can get the cherry stains out of their clothes!

Another Bigfork Trip

My sister Lauren and I went to Bigfork for a quick trip a couple weeks ago while her husband was at a Melaleuca Convention. We had so much fun! We were able to all fit in one car and the girls were excellent on the car ride. We played and went swimming everyday. We went during one of the best times of the year. Flathead Lake was the perfect temperature and Montanna and Eden loved playing with their cousin Brynlee and Aunt Lauren and of course, Grandma and Papa. Here are some pictures of us enjoying the water.

This is how Montanna was carried back from the lake. Papa put her in a hammock and swung her back and forth all the way to the truck. She thought it was so much fun!

The girls loved playing in the back of the truck

Another one. :) We love playing in Bigfork!

Boating, Beach and BBQ

Yesterday we went out to Clark Canyon Reservoir and went boating and swimming and had a BBQ. We all had a really good time. I think this may have been the first time in a boat for both of my girls. They loved it!

Adam dunked each of them in the water. Neither one of them wanted to go swimming, But Adam's cousin Tanea, Adam and I each jumped in. Adam counldn't go in without his newly purchased garage sale wet suit. The water was nice and refreshing, but there was a lot of green algae floating around. Not quite like the Flathead!

Tanea and Emma on the boat.

All 4 kiddos riding. Rowdy, Montanna, Eden and Emma

Montanna loves playing with her cousins. She just calls everyone her "friends" I love that she is so social and comfortable around anyone.

These two are best buds. You should have seem them playing tug of war with a dog leash. It was a pretty even match!

We just love Rowdy! His smile and laugh are infectious.

Rowdy had just seen the movie "Tangled" and so he was running around grabbing everyone by the face and saying, "You must not leave this tower ever again!" He found a tower for himself here.

and Montanna had to join in. Such a fun day!

Cousins

I don't know how I missed this picture when talking about the Webb Reunion. I love this picture of those sweet cousins.

Garden update

First Zucchini and Yellow Summer Squash from the garden. Even though I only had a few plants make it this year, there will be plenty of these squash coming for the next few weeks! Yea!

Tons of garden lettuce

We had Chicken Caesar Salad last night with some of this lettuce. Delicious!

Potty Time

There hasn't been any action here.... yet, but this is her favorite place to sit. Especially when she sees Big Sister Montanna using the bathroom. Hopefully she will be an easy one to train.

Sister Pics and First Time Pigtails

I put Pigtials in Eden's hair for the first time today and I think she looks adorable and so grown up! I love that big smile and I love using my new camera!

Ice popsicle picnic on the living room floor

I think there may be some plotting going on here. Watch out!

Love it when they are happy and smiling!

Duke and Meow

Montanna doesn't smile for the camera very much anymore. I usually have to bribe her with something to get a good smile. But... this one was for free. Love it!

Meow and Duke are members of this family. I know there would be a major break down if something should happen to one of them. We have tried to keep them in their beds so they wouldn't get lost during the day, but this rule has been bent a little bit this summer. Duke is where Eden goes if she is sad or hurt or upset or happy. She still comes to me for a hug, but she wants Duke under one arm while she is getting hugs from me or her Daddy.
Meow has been Montanna's favorite for quite a while as well. This morning they were pretending to be mommies wrapped them in blankets and put them to bed in their cribs. They took very short naps. Maybe about 10 seconds before they would wake up and start the process all over again. This entertained them for quite a while and I love that Montanna and Eden have been playing so well together.
