2 Month Birthday!

Montanna is now officially 2 months old as of Saturday. I can't believe how fast the time has gone and how big she is getting. I love laying down beside her and talking to her. She gets this smile on her face and we coo back and forth to each other. She thinks she is really doing something neat and I love getting her to talk to me.

This coming weekend is Montanna's blessing and we have so many visitors coming to see her. We are really looking forward to seeing everyone. I wish we lived closer so everyone could see the little changes in her that I can. Someday we will live closer and in a cooler climate than Arizona, but we don't know when or how yet. WE just keep our eyes peeled for opportunities.

Bath time!

I think Montanna looks so cute right after she has taken her nightly bath. Sometimes she loves the bath and sometimes she hates it. Here are some pictures of when she has fun getting in the warm water.

7 week pictures

I know that Montanna is almost 8 weeks old, but I have to post some of my favorite 7 week pictures. Red is my favorite color to dress her in. I have found some cute red outfits, but this red outfit is my favorite so far.

Montanna Smiles!

I got my first real smile from Montanna on my Birthday and she has been smiling ever since. It is so cute! I do everything and anything I can to make her smile. Here are a few smiles that I have been able to capture on camera.

The Grandparents

We need some of Grandpa Dalton. Three more weeks and he'll get to meet his sweet grandaughter! We can't wait!

Darby and Cousin Montanna

Visitors!

Montanna's first visitors were Britney, Frank, Hillary, and Darby. They came to the hospital on Monday morning. Montanna wasn't even 12 hours old when they first got to see her. Darby wasnt sure what was going on at first but loved the hospital room. Everything was on wheels! Montanna was loved from the beginning and everyone wanted to hold her. She just slept right through the visit and didn't know she had visitors, but we had fun seeing everyone and showing off our perfect littel girl.

When Montanna was 6 days old her Gran and Grandad Parmenter came to visit. They came to see Montanna but also to pack up Britney because she decided to move away and live in Colorado. We were pretty bummed about that! Gran and Grandad loved seeing Montanna and Gran had her camara out and took so many pictures. We love pictures!

When Montanna was 1 week old, her Grandma Dalton came to visit her for a whole week. It was so nice to have here here and she was such a big help. We did get some things done, but we had fun just sitting, holding, and watching Montanna. Bath time was a bit of a challenge the first couple weeks. We found that Montanna does not like to be cold and wet. Well, I don't think anyone likes to be cold and wet. It was much easier to give her a bath when her little cord fell off and we could put her in the water. We found that she loves taking showers. Who knew?!

Bringing Montanna Home

We were finally able to leave the hospital on Tuesday afternoon. It seemed like we had been in the hospital for so long and I just wanted to get home and sleep in my own bed. I know Adam felt the same way. He was tired of the hard plastic chair that kind of turns into a bed that he had been sleeping on for two nights in a row. It wasxxciting to be able to leave. Adam made sure that the car seat was put in the right way and I held Montanna and we were wheeled down to the car. The ride home was so scary. We ran into raod construction and I was worried that Montanna was going to get too hot or that someone was going to run a red light and hit our car. But... we made it home safely. Here is a picture of Montanna right after we walked in the door.

Catching up

Montanna Aynsleigh joined our family on June 23, 2008. Our lives have completely changed since that moment and it has been such and adventure. Here are some pictures of that special night when she arrived. She was born at 12:04 am on Monday morning. She would have been a Sunday baby, but the doctor took his time getting to the hospital and the nurses kept telling me to wait if I could. He got there just in time. Montanna was 7 lbs. 2.4 oz. and 20 in. long! Such a perfect little baby!
