Recent Happenings

I have pictures.... I do. I just haven't taken them from the camera to the computer yet, but I will. There are a few things I need to write down before I forget though.

1. Montanna started preschool! Her first day was 1-11-11. What a great and memorable day to start such a fun event for her. She loves it and is already learning so much.

2. Montanna is FINALLY potty trained. We haven't had an accident in over a week and she is telling us when she needs to go. I know we will have the occasional accident, but wow, I never thought it would happen.

3. Eden started to crawl, really crawl on her knees on 1-16-11. She has been army crawling and scooting across the wood floors for a couple months now, but she has graduated to actually crawling when she is on the carpet. SHe has realized how much easier and more efficent that is. We are so proud of her!

4. Adam and I get to go away for a long weekend this week! This is something I have been thinking about and looking forward to for a while now. We have spent 2 nights away from Montanna. One was when we were still living in Phoenix and got away for a night and Montanna spent the night and the next day with her cousin Darby and Frank and Hillary. The other time was last year for our Anniversary we were able to leave for a night and Montanna stayed with Gran, Grandpa and Britney.
This time we will be gone for 4 nights! 4 NIGHTS! We are going to have a good time and I am so excited to be able to spend some good quality time with Adam. I can't believe we are going to be away from Eden and Montanna for that long, but I know they will be on good hands.  As it gets closer I can't help but worry about being that far away from them for so long and my nightly prayers have already included them and their safety while we are away.  I didn't think I would be this anxious about leaving them, but I am. I am hoping that this anxiousness will go away and I will be able to completely and fully enjoy my break. I know they will enjoy theirs, as Britney and Gran will spoil them with love and I'm sure they will get to do one or two things they normally wouldn't get to do. Daily phone calls will have to do. Or several daily phone calls. :)

5. I can't get Eden to like vegetables! Montanna ate everything we put in front of her with gusto. She has only recently become more of a picky eater. Eden lives on formula, oatmeal and applesauce. Any suggestions? I offer her a taste of a different vegetables and even meats and she takes one bite and then turns her head away. We try at least once a day.

6. I am 10 lbs. away from my weight goal. I set this goal for myself last April after I was cleared to work out after Eden was born. I was able to shed all the weight from my pregnancy with Eden in the first 6 weeks postpartum. This may seem like a great accomplishment, but it isn't as great when you know that I only gained 16 lbs. with her pregnancy. Since that point I have lost a little over 25 lbs. and still have 10 more to go. Right now, I am the weight I was when Adam and I got married almost 5 years ago. I feel amazing but just want to get back to where I was when Adam and I started dating. I am really going to hit it hard when we get back from our trip. Adam is amazing as he has last over 40 lbs. since last April. He has always been handsome, but he is so handsome now and looks amazing! One of our favorite shows is "The Biggest Loser". Those people are such an inspiration to lose weight. If they can lose over 100 lbs in a couple months, I can definitely lose my final 10.

Christmas 2010

Where do I start? I have so many pictures and I am having a hard time deciding which ones to post and show all of you. We had a wonderful Christmas. It was fun to just be at home and relax and enjoy the excitement. Montanna really understood Christmas this year. We spent quite a bit of time talking about Baby Jesus and the true meaning of Christmas. She has a pop up book that tells the Nativity Story and she says it is her "favorite" book. Which, it may well be. She asks to read it quite often. She also understood Santa this year and it was wonderful to tell her to be a "good girl" so Santa would come and leave presents of her. She understood that you had to be a good girl to get presents and she LOVES presents!

As you can tell. Both Montanna and Eden were very good girls this year. We were so blessed in 2010 and we are looking forward to a new year with new goals and new opportunities.
